Women’s World Cup Final

The USA women took home the World Cup on Sunday with an epic 5-2 win over Japan.

In 2011 the US women lost  to Japan 3-1. They came back for revenge with a 4-0 lead in just 16 minutes. Carli Lloyd became the first player in Women’s World Cup history to score a hat trick. Carli Lloyd slammed a volley in the back of the net in the 3rd minute for the earliest goal in Women’s World Cup history!

The last time the US won a final was in 1999. That’s 16 years ago!
